Need to know the name of something...

I need to order something for the church, and don't know what to call it so I can look it up on the internet! It's the little caps that go on the ends of the tubing on metal folding chairs. What term do I use in the search engine?!?

Thanks!

Kathleen

Kathleen,

You might have a compelling reason to want to order the chair thingies via the internet. And, never having been to Klamath Falls at any time in my life, I don't know anything about the retail environment there.

So, having made those two disclaimers, I might suggest that you visit any Lowe's, Home Depot, Ace Hardware, or any other decent hardware type store. They should have them in various sizes, shapes, and colors. You might find just what you want locally.

They should have them at your local hardware store. They are also known as rubber feet for chairs.

Thanks, you guys. I'll check at Home Depot (we do have one of those in town). But it's not the feet that I need, it's the plug in the tubing at the upper end of the legs, the one that the chair back rests against -- it seems to keep the chair back tubing from slipping, and without the plugs, the frame will twist and the chair can even fall over. I did find some on the internet yesterday and bookmarked them (on the computer at church, not here at home); now I can't remember what they were called! We've got a stack of chairs that we can't use because they are missing one or both of those plugs.

By the time I found them on-line, it was too late to call a company that's back East, and they didn't have prices on the web site, so I'll have to call before I can order.

Hope someone can answer this, I need some too. Not the bottoms but where the legs make the top of a triangle.

Place where I worked used old tennis balls. Cut a hole in them and poked the leg right into the ball. El Cheapo

Are those the feet, or the top thing (called a stabilizer)? We have a Walmart Super Center in town, so I can check there tomorrow -- thanks.
