First time posting as I just discovered this forum, which seems to be a great resource.

Continuing on that theme, does anyone know of resources to locate other homesteaders in an area that might be willing to share ideas, give advice, etc.?

Doesn't necessarily have to be on the internet.

I have had very good luck with meeting like minded people by postings on our local freecycle/craig's list, as well meeting fellow HTers who are local.
Don't be surprised how a simple posting about where to find gleaning opps brings homesteaders out of the woodwork.
