I would plant a patch of June bearing for production, and then toss in some Ozark beauties here and there for ground cover. They grow well under trees, make a great edging for the front of a flower bed, spread readily, are hearty as can be, have an excellent flavor, are a productive everbearing, and for some reason the birds tend to not see the little red berries hiding under the leaves. They're perfect for tossing in your cereal or muffins in the morning, or scavenging for a snack while you're out weeding the beds.
You can have both. You just need the right kinds in the right places. That's all. ;-)
