Size of this Dog? Track pics

I saw these huge tracks today, enough to make me wish I had brought my pocket knife or something! The neighbor I was walking to is just maybe 1/2 mile away. Can anyone guesstimate the size of this dog? Surely it couldn't be a wolf, I'm in Arkansas. BTW, my hand is medium to large for a woman's hand. These tracks were about 3 1/2 inches. I've just never seen tracks near that size.

Yea, Pyr is what came to mind for me, but no one around here needs one. I'm the only one with a herd of anything. You'd think I would have seen it before.

Pitt, Rotty, Lab, could have been made by any large dog. The best way to check size would have been to measure from the front print to the back one, that would give you a length.

Lab, Bird dog, or hound any good sized dog will leave tracks like that in soft wet ground. They look like what my lab used to leave after a rain.

Our coonhound leaves tracks just a bit smaller than that... and our St. Bernard (135lbs) has a bigger paw than that.

Certainly could be any sort of bigger breed.

Be glad all that was left behind was a paw print!

That is almost as big as some of our dogs' tracks but ours are longer. I would guess 100 to 120 lbs. Could be more or less though as the track size varies greatly with adaptation for what the animal walks on (e.g., snow).

doesnt seem big to me at all. Normal size large dog track. My mastiff is round 170 and she leaves way bigger track than that. I used to raise wolfs {tundra and buffalo) they have huge feet.

Keep your powder dry
