we LOVE the woodstove...

but to be honest...it is a horrible day. blustery cold..snow....and I'm kind of HOT. LOL first time in 8 years of living here that I've said that on such a day. hubby is in his glory....so I'm thinking it's my internal furnace working against me a bit.

we decided to buy 2 new reclining chairs. IF work doesn't slow tooooo soon. you may never see me again until spring. LOL!

last night....as we sat in front of the fire.....we decided we may never go out again until May. saweeeeet.

Sounds wonderful!

We purchased a used Hearthstone I over the summer and finally got it up and running on Tuesday. We've lived here for 10 years and I've never been warmer.

Great!!!!!

We have used ours for 21 years. Due to some sickness the kids came this fall and helped cut some wood for us. Would hate to be without it due to the LP prices and also wood heat is so much nicer. Enjoy!!

We have ours going too. And we're hot. At least in the room the stove is in. The rest of the house is pretty comfortable.

So glad you are enjoying that woodstove!!! With it such a blustery cold day here, ours has been going all day with a pot of chicken noodle soup simmering! Aaaaahhh-tis the life!

34 outside, 80's in here. I used to fall asleep in my recliner close to the woodstove. I believe my brain boiled in it's own juice many nights.

No better heat than wood heat. Ours can drive us out if I don't lower the damper some. I would prefer wood heat anytime dh thinks it is too much work. Not me I love it.

We love our new soapstone wood stove. This place didn't have a back up heat and we decided to put one in this summer. It is hot in the room we have it in, but than the rest of the house is just nice and toasty.

I love heating this way! Let it snow and blow!

I have not had a fire yet but would have one tomorrow except I have to go to work and could not enjoy it. Maybe next cold spell. I have a hard time with the heat. It is just to hot for me but DH loves it.

My wife and I also have the Jotul Oslo...great stove. Friends of mine who visit, who also heat with wood, kick themselves for not getting one instead of the one they have.

Ya know, they now make a reclining chair for 2. What a nice way to spend evenings with your loves, all snuggled up and cozy. *wink wink*

Home just isn't home without a woodstove chugging in it!
I love the heat.
I love the smell.
I love watching the shadows from the smoke play across the lawn.
I just don't know how folks without get that cozy "home" feeling.

I love my woodstove, too. Just the other day the temperature inside was 100 degrees warmer than outside. (-25F and +75F)
