There seem to be a lot of choices out there. What is your favorite brand of root beer extract? Also where do you purchase champagne yeast?

When I was a kid we used Hires Root Beer extract, and bread yeast. I hadn't heard of using champaigne yeast, however I use it for my apple wine and get it at www.eckrause.com.

By the way, if the root beer didn't blow up (as it sometimes did), it was really great!

Any homebrewing supply store will carry champagne yeast. Even some micro-breweries will sell you a pinch of it.
