There are two common ways to wire freestanding ranges. Either "hardwire" where a large romex cable is wired directly to the appliance, or plug and cord. In a plug situation a FOUR prong range cord is wired into the range and a matching receptacle is intalled on, or in the wall, at the baseboard level behind the stove. With a double oven, assuming it's a wall mount, not freestanding, the unit is hardwired, no plug, no receptacle. Current rules require a four wire cable from the unit to the electrical panel. This cable has two hot wires (Black and red) for the 220v-240v power, a white neutral wire and a bare ground. Older installations used the ground as the neutral, which can be dangerous in very unlikely surcumstances. You need to look at the nameplate rating of the appliance and see if your cable and breaker are large enough to handle the job.
