Pumpkins..HELP please!

Gonna freeze here tonight and i have pumpkins ripe, turning, and green ones.
1. Will the green ones ripen if I pick them?

2.Would it hurt them to just stay in the garden a few more days?

3.Do pumpkins have to be stored above freezing temps?

Take them in!

They will ripen on your counter, like tomatos do!

They will tolerate frost, but they will store longer if they have never been frosted.

The green ones should ripen even after they are picked. They can take light frosts, but will have damage if the temp drops to mid 20s. You can let them freeze solid and they will still be usable, but if they freeze and thaw more than a couple of times, they turn to mush.
We brought ours in about a month ago, after the frost had killed all of the leaves. Most of them were green when they were picked, but they're all orange now.
