battery powered fence charger question

Can anyone tell me where to find a good economical battery powered fence charger?

It only needs to charge about 50' of fence.

orscheln's and tractor supply all have a variety of fencers. Sounds like you just need a small cheaper one.

The folks at Ramm Fence have great customer service. I don't know if this unit is right for your situation but take a look:

Also, Serge at Horseguard Fence is another helpful person. He has this product:

I don't have any personal experience with either of these products; I just use the plug in version. Check out the horse bulletin boards for opinions.

Good luck!

You're right, KS farmer, but up where Fishhead lives that would be Mills Fleet Farm Store.
I believe the Mothership is at Brainerd, MN.

Fishhead if you use a battery operated charger, a deep cycle marine battery will deliver much better results than a standard automotive battery.

I'm thinking that a battery operated one would be cheaper than solar and since I need 2 I want something economical. I can use the marine batteries for other uses. I've got AC plug-ins at all the dikes for one end so I could get by with just one battery operated if they cost more than AC types.

Yes the Brainerd Fleet Farm is where I spend my free time and my money.
