help me fix my dip

With 2 gallons of milk to process a week, I've been making cottage cheese like crazy. I swear you can do anything with the stuff, casseroles, lasagna, dips, alfredo sauce etc...

A neighbor gave me some jalapeno jelly so I thought I'd make dip out of it. I put it in the blender with cottage cheese and a little milk. blech! WAAAAAY too sweet. So i have a dip with good consistency, but how would you fix it so that it's not so sweet?

I was thinking roasting some peppers and putting them in with some tomatoes. Any other ideas?

Blend in some milk and vitamins and call it a health drink.

I wonder if some italian salad dressing mix, that good season's stuff, would add some depth of flavor and cut the sweet.

You could try lemon zest and some lemon juice to cut the sweet, but that will also cut any heat you might have.

Garlic?

There is no heat at all, just sweetness.

Half cream cheese and half jalapeno jelly is the norm around here.

My sister makes jelly and sells it around Christmas with her side company. Jalapeno jelly is one of her best sellers.
