Portable heater question

Seems as if the vehicle or plow always need to be fixed once the temps drop below freezing. I recently converted the furnace over to natural gas and have ~200 gals of fuel oil (can't recall if it's #1 or #2) sitting in the tank. I figured a portable heater might be a good investment.

I found a couple of torpedo heaters that will burn either kerosene, #1 or #2 fuel oil. They all require electricity to run. That's find under normal conditions. Rather have a convection heater that doesn't need electricity to run to use as backup when the power goes out (with the proper venting). Just wondering if there is such a thing as a convection heater that will burn fuel oil without AC...or does the use fuel oil require a pump? Thanks for educating me...CJ

There are kero/diesel heaters than run using a mantle (and no power)............... but all these heater can throw of dangerous levels of carbon monoxide and need to run in a well ventilated area.
