Lee the Horselogger needs our help

Lee has bee a member of the Homesteading Today family since 2004. He is making his way across America in a covered wagon. Perhaps you seen TV news clips or newspaper stories about his journey. Right now, Lee is having a difficult time. Read about these difficulties here ==> http://www.leehorselogger.com/

Lee did not ask me to post this; and I hope he doesn't mind that I did. But if you have the where-with-all to assist him with his needs, I'm sure he'd be gratefull. I know how giving the Homesteading Today family is and I know all of us would like to see that Lee finish what he started out to do.

You can make a financial donation...via PayPal....by going to his website at http://www.leehorselogger.com/index1.html

We can help, we can all see him through this!

Hi,

I am sending a dribble in memory of my Pyr, Amos who passed away -

Lee - if you're reading this..

I'm thinking of you as you cross the great USA - your Pyr is gorgeous and so are your horses. Is it ok to cross post this to other horse forums such as rural heritage?

Here's hoping my small dribble will start the snowball rollin..

take care and let us know what's up,
Sidepasser

I don't like to go via a separate method into PayPal to transfer funds. Can you provide his PayPal account user id so I can go directly into PayPal and then transfer monies?

Is he in Chadron today?
If so, maybe we can drive up there and see if we can help, it's a couple hours north of us.

I'm not PayPal savvy. When I left our donation, it said that his PayPal name is "Lone Tree Leader". If that is not sufficient, perhaps, someone else who knows more about PayPal can give you a hand. Ken.

I think it would be okay, as Lee said in his message

"I want to thank everyone again for your thoughts and prayers. Please share this message and website with anyone
who might have an idea of what to do. I can’t figure it out any more. I’ve put as much energy into it as I can, and
now I am worn out. I need to just travel and focus on that.

Would it be possible for him to let us know his route. It is possible some who could put he and horses up overnight (or give him a place to camp) might be near it. Then perhaps donate a couple of bales of good horse hay and a bag of horse feed when he departs.

An Update

I'm delurking to provide an update on Lee. He was in Manville, Wyoming this morning. This afternoon he was on his way to Lost Springs, WY (population 1). We found out about Lee from this board and have been following his progress for a while. What a treat to actually get to meet him!

He asked that I pass on his sincere thanks to those on the board who have been able to help him. You've sent enough to help keep him going for a little while longer. We were able to help a tiny bit as well.

The horses look healthy - and are so very calm. They are beautiful working animals and obviously very well cared for by Lee.

Please do help him with this amazing journey if you are able.

An Update about Lee The Horselogger:

Lee is currently in Douglas Wyoming area. Lee made it to Casper WY and found out his illness has returned. It is very treatable at this stage. So Lee traveled back to Douglas WY. , where he was offered a logging job in the mountains. He said he needed time to deal with his illness and the economic situation. He thought he would be better off spending the winter in Wyoming.
Lee has written a letter on his website explaining his plans. He will continue
his journey in early spring.
He still can use all of our help keeping his furry family feed thru the winter. Please go to his website and read his story at "leehorselogger.com."
I will post on his guestbook an address where you can send a donation that will go directly to Lee. I will post it as soon as I hear from Lee again. He doesn't have cell service in those mountains, but when he comes into town for supplies he calls me.
I am also looking to find a reasonable satellite phone. Lee is very worried if anything happens while on the mountain he won't be able to get help. If anyone has any ideas please let me know.
You can find my email address on his guestbook. I do the updates on Lee.
Thank you
