Coriander/Cilantro question...

The Cilantro went in late. After harvesting cilantro for a while, I decided to let it go to seed to get the coriander. It's tall, full of flowers and beautiful, but no seeds yet. Now we have a threat of frost. I know cilantro can take a light frost. How much longer till seed ya think? It's been in full bloom for a while it seems.

If it's flowered, the seeds are quick to follow in little round balls. I've always been amazed at how fast that flower stalk shoots up, and then the seed pods. You might let up on watering, if you're doing that by hand. If you get a few days of warmth after a light frost, you should be ok.

thanks for the info. P.S. I've been lucky enough with rain here, I have only had to water twice. Come on coriander!

I don't know, my were in flower for a long time and then the seeds stayed green for a long time. I've been picking the dried seeds (pick when the stalk and seeds are brown) for about a month. I just cut down the last of it yesterday. If you pick the seeds before they're dried, they will mold....don't ask me how I know.

Hanging in my drying shed/woodhouse/old garage I have sheafs of coriander seeds on stalk. Thanks for reminding me I need to chaffe it all off and today seems a good day to do so!
I may even have a time for a second run... naaah.
