need some information about well pit,

help...with non stop rain...my well pit is filling up with water, our water table here is high any way, now i have a steady stream of pencil size water leaking in at cement block stream and possible up from dirt floor also, i have a supm pump running so keeping water level down, is there something i can do to seal it up after it dries out,? thanks pat

Must be a very high water table to flood at 5' ( or whatever your pit depth is)

If you have had a lot of rain, how much came in through the top entrance? Might seal that up first.

If the floor is dirt, you could certainly have some seepage there.

Other than completely redoing the well pit, your best bet may be to dig a hole in the floor, set in a plastic sump and set up a permanent sump pump, switched by a float.

Pretty much trouble free. Just check it now an then.

This is the product I would use. I have great success with it. You can coat the inside to make a water tight structure so it should keep water out.

How is your drainage around your well pit? If the water is puddling around your pit before it drains this could be part of your problem. We had 10 to 12 inches last weekend. Its not any fun.
