What is the best propane refrigertor and freezer?

After our power was out all day yesterday, again, I am ready to buy a propane refrigerator or freezer. If anyone has propane refrigerator or freezer and like or do not like it, please tell me. Any tips on what to look for when buying? Thank you.

I have been researching propane refrigerators for my off grid hovel.
The consensus is that an Energy Star on solar panels is a better deal.
I hope we get some opinions on this.
I gotta do Something!

Maybe I should ask in the Alternative Energy section? I'll post there too and see if anyone has suggestions.

Danby - is that the brand of a propane?

Thanks and I will post in Al. Energy too.

I have a 56 year old servel frige that i rebuilt myself some 8 years ago, works wonderfully but has a tiny freezer. So I also bought a small 2 cf propane freezer from a company named explorer but they seem to have merged with someone else. the little freezer works great too and gives me the size freezer i would have with a big electric refer. My neighbor has a giant crystal cold propane frige that she paid over 2500 for! has no light and takes up half the kitchen....she does not esp like it though it seems to work fine. she has had it for about 4 years and it has broken down twice in that time. sis

I got mine at the camper store It has a big freezer & works on propane, 110v, or 12v. It is just the right size for us & it is a 1989 modle still works great.
