I am trying to learn to knit and finally use my blasted sewing machine. Though if a certain housecat does not stop unraveling whatever it is I have created, I may be taking up taxidermy.

I used to scuba. Miss it a bit, but it's out of my system.

I'm a woodworker. I quilt and cross stitch. I like to play with my horses and I like to do beadwork on occasion, too. And I'm an avid reader.

DH taught me to bead, but he doesn't do that much anymore. Truth be told, he hasn't had a hobby beyond reading for a number of years and it bothers me that he's a work a holic without that outlet.

But he's getting into blacksmithing. That's fun to watch.

Yea, I understand the blacksmithing... I've been learning now for about 2 years... and enjoy it when I can... I also do woodworking, plus tinkering with something... I'm always tearing something apart and finding new uses for the parts and recycling the rest. But re-enacting is what I love to do.. I enjoy history, so if there is something to do with history I'll probably enjoy doing it..

Oh I also dabble with magic/illusions.. mostly close up magic, but do have some stage magic also...

I garden, cross stitch, knit, crochet, play piano and guitar. I am also becoming very active in the TNR (trap, neuter and release) program in my area.

I like to read, I like to make jewelry when I have a block of time for it, I show dogs (Pomeranians and Chihuahuas) and I like to cook. I am not fond of the run of the mill every day cooking, but for special occasions I love to get out the books and do something intricate. I do like to make bread, too, particularly when I want to vent. "and another thing" - pound, knead, knead "and not only that" pound, knead, knead"

How do you guys post photos?

Mary

click the yellow mountain icon right above the message box. (You have to have you pics somewhere that allows remote linking,) and then paste the URL into the box that pops up.

I hear ya... When we rode down to Daytona for Bike week in '95, we stayed in St. Augustine. The first place I went was the fort..... then down to Daytona...
When we used to go to Myrtle Beach for their Bike Week we always went to Ft Sumter and Charleston for at least one day... I always enjoyed walking around Patriots Point and on the ships and going out to the fort... and walking around Charleston is just a charm..

Old cars
Old tractors
Old outboard motors (see a trend?)
I sing and play trumpet (not at the same time!)
I enjoy woodworking, too, but soon it will be more than a hobby, when I start building our house in SC.
I also love to cook, esp. grillin' and making bread.
