I think it is sad really. Those folks with the chickens and goats are going to be harassed by the one making these complains. So even with most of the neighbors seeing no problem, it will still be a source of stress for them unless the person complaining moves.

I think there have been many here who have had similar troubles.

I agree it is sad always have to have one or two unhappy people in an area. I remember when I was a small boy we lived in the city of Chicago (WWll) we had chickens and a large garden as did many of the neighbors. No one complained and also we shared with others.

I can understand the man being upset about the horseflies, but they aren't necessarily there because of the goats. I have sheep and donkeys and rarely see a horsefly or deerfly. We actually have far fewer flies since getting chickens.
