Thanks Dear, NOT!

Some days, you just ain't gonna win.

Been working for years on building a really pretty tree tunnel alongside the pond. Arching out over to the fenceline. I'd done it elsewhere on the place and it turned out nice. Was coming along and in perhaps two more years it would be done.

Come home today to find my wife had hacked it all away. And I do mean hacked. She never trims any branch properly, always leaving it long and shattered to ensure disease and nice poke in the face or gouge in the truck. Sigh, all that work, destroyed. The trees now look totally deranged. I may just have to cut them all down and start over, it's that bad a mess.

The branches overhanging the pond that needed to be trimmed, those weren't touched, of course.

God I love having a wife.

Yeah, by all means beat your wife.
I know its a joke, but yeesh

And maybe she thought she was helping. Husbands do things that wives want to scream over, too, you know.

We all need a beatin' once in a while! If my husband gave me all that I have deserved over the last 18 years I'd be a sad wife!

I hope you are just joking, but regardless that was pretty rude and crude.
No one has the right to beat a woman. If anyone ever tried that with me, they would wish they had never been born.

I agree, she dont need no beating for that, that sounds like a mistake. Now if supper won't ready and I didn't hear no pots and pans rattling in the kitchen, SOMEBODY BETTER BE RUNNING. Eddie

Well did she get plenty of fire wood?

My wife never goes in the Garden for some reason she decided to help me by pulling all my Carrots so frost wouldn't hurt them.Well had a bunch of Baby Carrots.

All those vegetables and the lack of meat leaves them a little aggressive.

Or perhaps Faithful One was just being stupid, definitely not a trait unique to vegetarians.
Was planning on chiming in on this one as I wanted to say that for me one excellent reason to NOT beat my wife is simple fear. Women fight DIRTY!!
I had to pop in when I did because I wanted to put a more thoughtful and peaceable note in from someone who eats lots of veggies and no meat....yes, I am a vegan.

More seriously, There are loads of things that my wife has done over years that have made me want to pound my head against a wall, and I shudder to think of even a small portion of the things I've done that no doubt made her crazy.

Well, at least she tried, the only thing my mister will do outside is mow the grass and then its only because he doesnt want to watch the kids while I mow, and tall grass bothers him.

Pitty, I love mowing the grass.

I hope you told her what a help she is to you

This is the plain simple truth of the matter.
A man will fight you, stab you, shoot you even. But a woman will chop you up in little pieces.

Ladies, (and I am one too) calm down, they are just joking.

With DH and I the joke is a disgusted look and "That's it, you're fired."

And I will second the fighting dirty remark. We do. I always say that I'm not afraid of anyone smaller then my brothers, 'cause I can beat the tar out of both of them!! Some of the truest words I ever heard are
"A woman will kill you twice as quick as a man and with half the reason, even if she cries over it later."

You are absolutely right. Even joking about it is sad. With domestic abuse on the rise this is not funny.

Oh my goodness. I guess something must get lost in the translation of type. It's just silliness. It wouldn't be funny if I'd ever been hit. We humans are a funny lot. Sorry about being "rude and crude". No offense intended.
