It should be worth near $500 junked. Check for a lot of slack in gear boxes. Check and see that the chains are semi tight including elevator chain. See if it has good tires enough to get it home.Other than that there is not much that can go wrong with it that you can fix without spending a lot of money. Be sure that you grease the wheel bearings before you move it.

Wide or narrow row?

Older 6A, 300, or newer 323/ 324 model?

on a two row you should be able to get anything from10 inches wider or narrower into it, but most 2 row ear pickers are wider rows 38, 40 or once in a while 48!

NI #324 is wide two row.

NI #325 is narrow two row.

NI #323 is a one row.

Those models will keep up with modern corn - 175 bu per acre.

An A6 will not (had one) and a 300 is somewhere between - ok picker, but not real high capacity (still have one).

My 2 324's are pretty good, but I likely will be going to narrow rows next year, so will need to look for a 325.

I was bidding on a 3 row narrow (is that a 329 model???) but just a year too early for me to keep bidding on it......
