Rain

4 days in a row I'm starting to get cabin fever. It breaks long enough for me to feed everyone and then comes back down

I'm with you. We have been trying to make hay on the outskirts of Toronto, Ontario.
In June there was one 4 day period without rain.
In July there was a 4 day period and a 3 day period without rain.
In August there hasn't been 3 days together without rain so far.

Apparently we have already broken the all time summer rainfall record.

Where is the sun? Okay, it is out right now, but thundershowers are forecast for today and tomorrow.

We've had rain almost every day since the end of July. There have only been half a dozen days or so that were sunny until this week. Now we've had two days of mostly sunny skies (with three more predicted). We made the national news for the amount of rainfall that we've gotten. One farmer near here said that he's had over 20" of rain since summer began. This is northern Vermont! We're getting rainfall equivalent to subtropical regions! And, we had record snowfall for the past two winters as well. I'm really hoping this is just a fluke and not the way things will be from now on.
