Brand new food storage calculator that also keeps track of what

Hello everyone,

I just built a free food storage calculator that not only calculates what you need but also keeps track of what you have! This food storage calculator can be found at http://www.stockupfood.com It also tells you via bar graph how close you are to finishing your goal. Then you can update from 3 months (or however many months you put as a goal) to more months to build up your storage that way.

Please tell me what features you would like to see. This post is for responses on features and additions.

Some people suggested adding recipes that will show up once people reach the amount of food they need for that recipe as well as adding can goods that arn't listed, etc...

Please give me feedback! Thanks

It would be nice to be able to add supplies that aren't listed, and to delete those that the user does not use...

There are no cleaning supplies listed..

Good idea, and a useful tool

Great calculator. Very easy to add items into it.

I would like to be able to change the amounts needed - for example: We don't enjoy legumes much. I have dry beans stored but we wouldn't use the soy beans or lentils. So, I have stored extra peanutbutter, dried refried beans The calculator doesn't let me adjust it to fit our family. Though I have adjusted our amounts, the calculator won't ever show that I have enough beans for us.

It would be nice to be able to add in veggies, etc rather than just the basic supplies.

Need to be able to add and subtract. Other than that it is a great calc, thank you for creating it!

Great suggestions! Keep them coming! The big overwhelming want is to add your own custom foods. This will be something I will add in the future.

"Need to be able to add and subtract."

This feature is enabled, to add and use your food, but not add your own custom foods. Hopefully it will be added in the future. Donations always help Out of 300 registered users, only one donated

Keep the suggestions coming! Thanks guys!!

Ditto on a customizable feature. If you could reformat the food storage master plan found here: http://simplylivingsmart.com/tools/f...readsheet.html into your web-based format, I believe you would have a sound storage calculator.

Also, on what information or source are you basing your quantity recommendations?

I would like a calculator where I could decide the amounts. Perhaps the calculator could show me recommended amounts, but I could adjust to our family's needs/eating habits. Such as...if we didn't like beans, I could remove that amount but add it to another protein.

And one that could just look at the supplies as I take them out of the bags so I wouldn't have to do it manually before I forget......now that would be a great calculator.
