looking to rent in VT

I posted this over in real estate but figured it might get more visibility here.


We're looking for a place to rent in VT. 1 Bed, 1 bath minimum.. We've got 2 dogs and a cat as well.

Ideally we'd like to find a place with some acreage we could rent/lease to own, have a small garden, maybe a few cows eventually..

Right now the key is getting the heck out of this Missouri heat.

Anyone have something? could recommend some sites, papers, etc.

We'll be up there on vacation from Aug 20- Sept 7 and would like to find something while we're there. Area is not really that important. Prefer the NEK, Montpelier, etc but , like I said, we're ready to get out of here so any area considered

Check Craigslist for listings, as well as checking out the Caledonian-Record website for NEK listings. The Times Argus is the Montpelier/Barre paper. There are also papers in Hardwick and Newport, but neither is very good, and I don't think either puts their classifieds online.

Here's on listing that might be of interest: http://burlington.craigslist.org/apa/783394671.html. It's in the northernmost part of the NEK, really pretty area.
