Making Charcoal

Here is a a good way to make homemade charcoal. It may take you a couple tries to get the timings right, but it does work well. Use a 55 gallon drum with a removeable lid or cut the top off with a sawsall a couple inches from the top rim, bend the top of the drum in abit and the flange on the top out abit so it will fit over the drum when placing it back on. It is best to used seasoned wood, or you will waste alot cooking off the water in green wood.
