If you don't have tons my FIL uses a t post driver and the bumps on the t posts to ratchet the posts out of the ground. Whatever used hope you don't bend them. I nearly passed out when we just bought some posts at almost $5 a post.

I have one and it IS GREAT. ANY Farm and Fleet Store,,, Fleet Farm or I am sure Tractor Supply has them, and I know this place has them and you can order them from their catalog.

Or if you have a store close to you, I am lucky there is a harbor Frt. just 20 miles from me.

I was just about to buy one to pull 500 feet of posts out of frozen ground last winter. First I tried a short loop of chain around the post and then to a handyman jack, and it worked so great, I never bought a puller. Sometimes I would have 12" of frozen ground stuck on the post when it came out of the ground.

The one made by Priefert is the best one. Its just over $40, and worth every penny. I've gone the farm jack and chain method, and would sell my blood for enough money to buy a proper t post puller. They are THAT much better for the job.

I bought one this spring for 16 bucks at Harbor Freight. Sure beats the old wiggle and pull method.

We bought one from MFA this spring. I wish I had done it years ago. My grandmother could pull posts out of the ground with it.

The wiggle and pull method sent my hubby to the emergency room with a 3 inch gash in his forehead. Right down to the skull...double layer of stitches and a Frankenstein scar. That's why I'm shopping for one.

I picked one up at tractor supply. Looked at a couple, and this one is a bit heavier than another I saw (don't remember where it was).

They sure do work slick! The ground here in SD gets way to hard in the late summer to use the "wiggle and pull" method. I've bent way more fence posts trying to "wiggle" them out. Never had that problem in MN and WI. I'm amazed at how rock hard the ground can get! - Not this year so far, with all the rain.

I'm pretty sure I paid less than $40 for the puller.

BTW- I wasn't actually pulling the post in this pic. Someone had asked for pictures and I took these for them.

Instead of looping chain around the post one of these should work well and a similar version could even be made.
