worms/peaches

Some of my peaches have worms in them.
Can I still eat them ??After the worms are removed of course.

We always cut them out and ate the rest...I know gross....but when I was growing up we needed all we could get. We couldn't afford for the worms to be better fed than we were ..LOL I still do the same.
My peaches are also wormy this year. grrrrr

I always cut out the worms and ate the rest. Before the squirrel invasion that was the only way I got some of my peaches. Wash the frass (poop) off before cutting the peach open

Just cut the wormy part off and wash them...

We have worms in lots of our stuff because I use very few insecticides in the garden...haven't used any yet this year (cross fingers).

I'd rather deal with a few worms, then worry about when the kids can and can't eat stuff right out of the garden.

Sabrina & bqz - are you just now getting peaches? We had a bumper crop this year but the japenese beetles ate almost everything we had about 1 month ago. Next year we're going to pick while they are still unripe just as the beetles start to show up.

Oee tree is already over, but another is getting there. Not sure what kind they are. They came with the farm. And the earlier crop turned brown and was bad before they ripened. Picking unripe seems to be a good idea.
