Idea's Wanted For Land

We just bought 10 acres in Saline county missouri. I am looking for idea's on what we can plant and maybe sell at farmer's market or on the side of the road. We will only go up there every couple of month's. I have someone to water so that should'nt be a problem. I was thinking fruit tree's of some kind.
Give me some idea's please.
Thank's

If you aren't there much a regular garden might be out. You could probably shoot for pumpkins or winter squash without having to be there, as they kind of take care of themselves, but fruit trees seem a better match for anything else. Unless you just want to hay it off.

You may wish to take a look at the September 15th workshop here in this PDF.

For blemish free fruit which is probably needed for proper sales it would take a lot of spraying, pruning, and a lot of time for picking. Probably daily picking to ensure the just right stage of ripeness for flavor.

Perhaps you would be at your land before it comes into production however as it will take several years for the trees to mature enough for that.
