Cold Comfort Farm

Does anyone else love the movie version with Kate Beckinsale?

Can't say enough about how much I love this movie

A month ago, someone on HT raved about this wonderful movie. So I moved it to the top of my Netflix selection. I watched it but I guess I just don't get it. Not impressed, tho there were reviews where people claimed to have laughed all the way thru it.
I did like August Rush, a movie I don't hear anything about.

If this is the one I saw it takes place in England..right ?? If so..I think if you have a little knowledge of the British people it helps a lot. I did enjoy it ..I need to see it again too. It does take a little time to get use to their speech and slang words..but I think worth watching.

It's a family favorite for us. "There'll be no butter in Hell!

Like all humor you get it or you don't. Everyone's sense of humor is a little different.

"Waking Ned Devine" was good too.

That's where sub-titles come in handy.

A.T.: "Waking Ned Divine" is one of my favorites. I have it and I guess it's about time to watch it again (tonight).

"Cold Comfort Farm" is cute, too (I bought it after the last discussion here about it).
