Just had feed mixed yesterday and the prices I paid in the mix are as follows:

Cracked corn $15.93 per 100 lbs
crimped oats $16.50 per 100 lbs
Cracked wheat $13.56 per 100 lbs
Soybean Meal 47% $26.35 per 100 lbs
alfalfa pellets $15.75 per 100 lbs
Molasses $12.76 per 100 lbs

we buy our feed mix in 3000 lb quantities.

OOPS - that should have been $15.93 per 100. There is a water stain over part of the receipt.

50 lbs of oats - $10.50
50 lbs of rabbit feed - $11.80
50 lb of milo - $9.95
50 lb of scratch - $10.50
50 lb of wheat - $13.95
50 lb of oyster shell - $10.95

I go through 4 bags of rabbit feed and 2 bags of everything else (except oyster shell) in a month. Everything but oats has went up $2 in the last two weeks. The feed mill is going to see if they can get 100 lb bags for me, but I'll have to get some help lifting them if they can.

My feed mill puts all of my bulk feed in burlap bags which we recycle each buy of feed. I get about 80 lbs of feed per bag.

Corn - $7.25 per 50
Milo - $4.00 per 50
Alfalfa pellets - $8.50 per 50
Oats - $13.00 per 50
rabbit pellets - $13.00 per 50

That was 2 weeks ago, so who knows how much it's gone up since then. We'll find out tomorrow.

It's more expensive if you want it rolled. That does include sacking. It's cheaper if you don't get it sacked.

Now, over the past 2 weeks corn has dropped a dollar or more per bu, and soybeans (protien in the feed mix from soy meal) has dropped a lot, gone up again, dropped - overall down some. This is what farmers get paid.

So, it depends what your feed mill has done as far as buying ahead - what the raw grains are costing them.

Current prices have been dropping of late, esp. corn.

I hear ya on feed prices. I work at a feed store and see the prices weekly. Boss had to raise the prices on the board. Had me stand guard to make sure he didn't got shot while doing it!!! And most of the prices you posted are cheaper than here. Except the last post of alfafla pellets. That is more than what we charge. When I decided to feed my cow out instead of breed her. I bought 200# of corn. Beating the increases. Thanks to the manufacture and their bags. It was all bad. But at least they had to replace it!!!!
