Baler question

Hi, someone asked me this and I wondered why I had never thought about it before...probably because there's no such thing, but just in case....

We have a Honda Foreman 4-wheeler, in prime condition.

Is there a small (square bales) baler available anywhere that could be used with the 4-wheeler (we don't have a tractor)? We also have a riding lawnmower, FWIW

If this is a stupid idea, please try to be kind--I'm only asking because I don't know...Thanks very much!

Not to my knowledge

That was being kind.. There are balers with gasoline engines mounted on them. But I seriously doubt that you would still have a 4 wheeler"in prime condition"
Balers rock back and forth they would rip that little four wheelers guts out..
Sell the toy and buy a tractor.

yeah,,you would need way more weight to handle anything like standard (1950's) equipment. i used to pull a super 69 baler with a 4000 lb tractor and it would rock the tractor pretty good with the front to back movement.

Even pine straw balers are too much for a 4 wheeler. You can use a small tractor but not a 4 wheeler.

I've seen small engine driven balers pulled by an old pick up truck. It's going to be hard on the truck too but old trucks are cheap.

Most of the small balers I'm aware of make round bales instead of square ones and none are made for All Terrain Vehicles.

There are a few, very rare, import type small round balers & tiny square balers. You're looking at $15,000, so don't bother looking.....

Even they would not match well with an ATV. Balers need to go slow, and most need power to them.

Keep the Honda Foreman. Locate the owner of a tractor & baler, and hire them to custom bale for you. Pay them in cash, or a share of the hay, or barter for services that you are good at?
