Question irrigation system question

Hey all, I'm hoping to get some advice on fixing up my irrigation system for my fruit trees. I have 5 fruit trees and a couple of berry bushes, being watered with the following system:

I have a 55 gallon barrel set up at the rim of the pond, with a 1/2" hose running to the trees. There are 2 5 gph emitters for each tree. The hose runs about 400 feet. The barrel is maybe 3 feet above the meadow. So with this setup, only the nearest tree is getting watered. I guess there's not enough height to push the water out to the trees. So I was thinking, why not just run the hose directly from the well to the trees? Duh! It will be a lot of water coming out fast! Are there special huge emitters I can buy? Or do I just punch big ole holes in the hose by the trees? I'm going to be putting in more trees and stuff in the future, so I want to be able to scale this up as needed. Any advice will be appreciated.

Thanks!!!

WM

If the pressure is too high, get a regulator that reduces the pressure to the psi needed by the emitters. The regulator should be available from the supplier of the drip irrigation stuff.
