Honeybee stings are often touted as being wonderfull for neuropathies. It's never held up to a double blind study, but many swear by it regardless.

Sorry you have this. I deal with it also. I do not know of any natural cures or treatments. The only thing that has worked for me is Neurontin (gabapentin is the generic but I have only used the brand). It does make me sleepy/drowsy, but it helps. Now I have a lot of autoimmune issues and take a lot of other meds so it may be in my case it is a combination of drugs that helps -- everybody is different.

If you know you have peripheral neuropathy (had a good diagnosis by a good doctor), hopefully you have found out the underlying cause and are getting that treated.

There may be some natural treatments but be very careful with them if you are taking any prescribed medicine. I know these things because over the last 15 years +/-, I have tried everything alone and in combination with other meds. I have had as many reactions to naturals as prescriptions, but, again, that is how my body works and how the autoimmunes affect my body.

Good luck, I hope you find a treatment that works for you.

Hi Kit-Kat -

Treatment always depends on what is causing the neuropathy. Is it from diabetes, spine problems, a pinched nerve? You might want to ask this question down in the Alternative Health forum.

My own 2 cents - if you haven't been to a doctor to find out the cause, it would be a good idea. Delayed treatment can cause permanent problems. I had a dingbat of a neurologist who said my spine problem was untreatable. Finally went to another neurologist who promptly did the surgery I needed. However, the 3 years I spent without proper treatment means I've got to live with some pain. Fortunately a very small amount, especially when compared to what I had before!
