What would you do?

I've been wanting a dairy goat. My husband said, "Whatever, as long as I don't have to take care of it". A kid at my school will deliver a Nubian in milk to my house tonight, but I have to tell him by the end of the day b/c they're taking it to auction. I can't get ahold of DH b/c he's working. BUT I would normally clear stuff like this with him before I did it. Would you be mad if your wife brought home a goat? (Oh yeah it's only $50, and he would be fine with the money part of it).

Sounds like he's already ok with it AND it's a bargain if it's healthy, etc. I'd get the goat!

Just make sure your pen fencing is tall. We unloaded two nubians once. First one out promply jumped out and took off. I grabbed the second while dh chased #1. Whew!

Go for it. If it doesn't work out, you can be the one taking it to the auction next week.

Talking

Its always easier to ask for forgiveness than permission.....but it sounds like he has already said he wouldn't mind.

Twice a day, every day, whether you feel like it or not, whether you want to go somewhere or not, vacations not withstanding if you dont' have someone you can trust to reliably fill in for you.

Plus all the usual stuff like fencing, housing, feed, and so on.

.....Alan.
