old cow question

My neighbor has a cow that just stands and eats salt licks off the block.........I told them to get a sack of minerals to put out. I think she is mineral defiecent. anyone have ideas?

Scott, there's a lot of symptoms that could mean she's mineral deficient. It's hard to say if she IS deficient, without seeing any physical descriptions of a mineral-deficient cow besides her eating salt all the time. Location would be another thing. What kind of salt block does he have out for her?

It could be coincidence too that every time you see her she's at the salt block and when you're not looking she's not at the block.
