I have been in Potosi on several occasions. Fairly typical rural MO small town. Still lots of farmland. State prison there may be area's largest employer. Some light industry.

I travel through there often,especially in the summer canoe trip season, and live about 30 miles east of that area. Rolling hills, lots of hardwood timber, hot and humid summers, cool to cold winters with not much snow. Land is still somewhat affordable, but going up every day.
