Wooden spoon carving instruction video

Thought this may interest anyone who's ever thought of making their own wooden kitchenware:

Check out his blog too for more videos and interesting woodworking projects.

Enjoy.

Very interesting. Maybe I'll try this the next time a storm knocks off branches. I love wooden cooking utensils, and so do my nonstick pots and pans. I like the variety of utensils he has.

I could tell he wasn't in the USA, because he occasionally cut towards himself. I have to admit, I cut towards myself too sometimes.

Looks a lot like what my son does. He sells all that he makes, and they aren't cheap, either. He has regular customers that commission spoons as gifts or for their own use, and people that buy them as works of art, too. He has been invited as a visiting artist to a neighboring city's farmers market for the second year, too. There is quite a group of spoon carvers that he knows in Wis-Minn-Iowa that get together once or twice a year, and they all do different kinds of work--dozens of spoon carvers, quite a group.

I bet they're great for non-stick pans. My plastic ones are so old and raggedy I need new ones. And I'm beginning to hate plastic.

WisJim, your son's work sounds great. Does he have a website?
