New Here..

Good Evening All;
I found this website by accident while searching for information on country living. While at a used book store last weekend I came across Carla Emery's book on Country Living..So I got that and bought myself a laptop so I could meet other like minded folks.
I'm a single lady who am looking for a simple way of living in this high rising world.
I have no experience with any type of livestock other then cats and dogs.
I'm a Mom to a 4 legged girl.. and a birth mom to a 18 yr old.
I love the great outdoors from camping to just relaxing by a cool lake..
So I'm looking forward to meet many of you

Hi NatureLady_Lisa!
I don't post much but since no-one else has welcomed you yet I thought I would be the first.
Welcome!

Great bunch of people here. Lots and lots of information.

Oh, I envy you the joy of first reading Carla Emery! I discovered her book in the early 80's when I worked in a bookstore. I learned to bake bread from her book.

I'm now living my dream on 10 acres with goats, chickens, rabbits, ducks, geese, horses, dogs and cats. (and a wonderful husband )

Welcome!

Welcome, Lisa.

Always a bonus to see more Midwesterners.

There are so many nice people here, and I have learned a lot from them.
