What are the strips of metal called dividing 2 types of flooring

What are these strips called that divide say a tile floor from a wood floor? At the hardware store they only have the tacky looking aluminum strips. I am actually looking for some copper ones. Anyone know where I can get some of these? I guess it would have to be from a specialty shop?? Thanks Chris

I don't know what they are called either...but we have one in our house.

Go to a tile/flooring sales place, they should have them.

I have some stuff called T-molding it goes between laminate and other kinds of flooring. Maybe that is the same thing? It is wood looking and can go from one height to another. We have it to go between ceramic and laminate. Hope that helps.

I have called them transition strips... I don't know if that's the correct terminology or not, but they knew what I was talking about at the hardware store when I asked them...
