Used to look at Mother Earth News forum quite a bit, but this one seems to get more traffic. I also look at the forum on www.hearth.com for woodburning information.

I really haven't found any where I feel comfortable. I have looked at a few but never go back. It seems like I have more in common with the folks right here. I don't post often, but I have learned so much here. I think HT is the best.

I agree the HT is the best, I just thought there might be some that I need to look at once in a while. ET

That's the way I feel too - except for Home 'n Stead forum - http://homenstead.14.forumer.com/index.php

Not near as big as HT, but they are my Catholic friends. Good mix of spirituality & homesteading stuff.

Nowhere really.. as previously stated, there is a much friendlier atmosphere here. I wonder why there is such a difference?
Sometimes I peruse the Garden Web for questions, but never post.
I look over Backyard Chickens, but it seems to not like my password now..bummer. I am interested most in the sale board.
That's it.

I have been to Frugalforums and Backwoods hoem forums but I find this forum to be the best. Most informative. Most thoughtful and though provoking as well.

Some of the otheres seem more survivalist (serious gun toting unibomber types not the warm fuzzy survivalists we get here ;-) oriented and others just don't have the answers to the questions I am looking for.

HOORAY for HT! The best of them all!

Bonnie L, do you know how to confirm your membership at http://homenstead.14.forumer.com/index.php, I didn't get an email or anything but when I try to log in it says I must confirm membership.

Me too, I like this forum the best. I've tried using several others and ending up not going back much.

This forum is more interactive, lots of people willing to help and great informations!

Also there's tons of photos I love to look at when you all post your homestead :0)

The Backyard Chickens forum looks interesting. I've never seen it before. Makes me want to hurry up and move so I can have chickens again.

I don't see a forum for this one. Am I just missing it?

I belong to other sites. One I'm pretty active with and enjoy it a lot. This is the other one. Oh, there is one more, http://www.homesteadfriends.com/forum/index.php?www
Homesteadfriends.

This is a nice site though. Lots of great information.

The forum on hearth.com is from a drop-down menu - it's not very obvious. Here's a link:

http://www.hearth.com/econtent/index.php/forums/

The MEN forum is down under the "community" section. Here's a link:

http://www.motherearthnews.com/forum...x?boardid=1202

MEN used to be active, but then they updated a server or something last year and during the downtime a lot of folks came to this forum. I think the HT is the best. People are very helpful and there is a lot of activity.
