I probably have a half dozen dead ones. At one time these were the highest powered cheap chargers on the market with a 1 year warranty. The price shot up and I quit buying them. Parmak, IMO , makes a better unit and Parmak's service is terrific. http://www.parmakusa.com/Fencers/110.htm#RM This one has a 2 year warranty and it has a good output. Here is a source http://www.jefferslivestock.com/ssc/...ry&dept_id=298
search the internet and you may find a better price. For a smaller farmstead this is a good unti and the price is right! ParmakŪ Model SE-4 Super Energizer

I've had their 2nd most powerfull unit for a few years now without incident or problem. Had one of the lighter units up before that for several other years, again without incident or problem. That one is still here as a backup.

We went through two in less than 3 weeks, the first was about 9 months old when it went. Fortunately I was able to return the second to the store for a refund and they did repair the first under warranty. It is now our backup - replaced with a Parmak.

I've had one that has been going for over 5 years without a hiccup. Of course after saying that it'll probably die today.
