Csa Info

Hello all,

I am not yet allowed to post in general chat so I am hoping that this post is ok.

I am seeking info about CSA's for my local extension office. I spoke with someone in the Ag deptartment about finding a local CSA farm and was told that there are currently none but that some of the are farmers are showing interest. Construction has dried up so the sod farming is now out and folks are trying to find a niche.

I did get a bit of info from a friend in MA regarding the CSA she is a member of.

Looking for info on pricing and perhaps crops that members have gotten.

Also does the CSA have an on site store or bring in things from other area farms and producers such as cheese or baked goods.

Thanks in advance.

Be Well,

You really need to go to Market Gardens Forum. That is a lot of what they do. It is a just a few forums down from here and right beneath Gardening and Plant Propagation.

Not sure if there are any listed here in your area, but Local Harvest lists CSAs, farmer's markets, etc., by state. Hope this helps.

In case you're interested, this site also lists you-pick farms by state.
