I'm not even sure how to respond to this. Amazing, awful. Wonder what happened to all the parrots.

All I can say is-I hope it wasn't a single-wide!

These people are 'hoarders' & have a mental illness. Just wish authorities could find this out b/4 it gets this bad. At least these were rescured.

That's been the big news in Tucson for the last week. The parrots are all in the care of a bird rescue group and being evaluated before being offered for adoption. Amazingly, all the Chihuahuas are adopted/spoken for and they are giving out numbers for people waiting for the up to 200 litters of puppies expected to be born.

Probably a puppy mill. Glad to hear it's shut down.

Nobody seems to care about the animals who live in shelters for weeks and are put down waiting to be adopted... they all want to adopt the animals that made the news in some shocking story!

Wow...most I ever personally witnessed was 17 dogs in one house...I can't imagine the smell and I don't want to either!

Yes, everyone wanted to adopt the cute little dogs. People got into fights in the lines waiting to adopt. The humane society sent close to 200 dogs to rescues in Phoenix and CA because they simply had no room, and some people were making nasty comments about "wasting" donated money and supplies on dogs that were sent out of town. Lots of people were there just to help the dogs, but some seemed to act like they were owed a cheap purebred. Many of the dogs were sick, or severely unsocialized, and I have no doubt a bunch will be returned after people get over "cute" and start dealing with medical and behavioral issues.
