A very cool WOODEN PALLET craft site!

I found this site this morning, some of the items made with pallets are indeed fancy, and don't even look like they were made with pallets! I can't wait to start digging through our maze of pallets to start making things! Wow, even a little chicken coop.

Note the guy is from Nova Scotia and said that he was told the cheap pallet wood would not withstand the winter elements? Trust me, if he's from Nova Scotia and it lasted, that pretty much says it all. They get loads of snow and rain. And of course, painting/treating the wood would help also.

It also shows a "unique" use for those big old satellite dishes.

Oh, just thought I should add, if you follow some of this gentleman's links, you will see other stuff like pallet fencing and other neat stuff!

I love the link, I can get all the pallets I want... I still can't figure out though how they are connecting them together...to keep it sturdy. Also, someone on HT recently posted that they could find pallets that had a solid top to it. I was wondering if anyone knew what would be shipped on those? That would be a great idea for the flooring if they could be found.

You can usually find pallets on Craigslist.

A machine shop close to me has a lot of those solid pallets. They get them in shipments of motors.

Thanks for the link, always intresting to see the ingenuity of using scrounged materials.

Although, the number of pallets that are given away is shrinking, several business's have been started around here to repair and sell back to the vendors.
(home business idea?)

I have used them for compost bins, gardening tables, fencing, shelves, shed floors (tied them together with 2 X 3, inside) etc, but never tried a whole shed.

Anybody have a county assessor spot one of these pallet buildings and tax it according to its supposed value based only on the square footage?

When we moved to our house, the previous owner left the pallets behind. LOL
