Ear taggers

I need to get an ear tag gun for my cattle. I also want to be able to tag my sheep with the same tagger. The sheep tags would only be used for record keeping tags. I already have a ketchum tagger for the provincial tags.
My question is would any tag gun be able to do the male/female type tags?

Unfortunately the Allflex tagger works with allflex tags and the y-tex tagger with y-tex tags. I have both - got themon Ebay. Tags are much less on Ebay, but there are more allflex tags for sale than y-tex. Best to choose that which is most available in your area.

I use the blue colored application tool pictured here http://www.qcsupply.com/Products/236.aspx
It has been in use for years with no problems and will install a variety of sizes of ear tags from All Flex. You can find a cheaper price if you search the internet.
