I know what you mean. It's 3:30 am and I am now awake. Have been asleep since 11:00 pm last night. It's in the 40's and we had a thunderstorm earlier. It's supposed to get cold, waiting for a windy cold front to come thru. Right now it's foggy and we let the woodstove go out as it's stuffy in the house.
Dh had a birthday yesterday and we had a supper for him last night. Now I can't sleep anymore cause I'm thinking about how work has been scarce this week and I hope God sends some more like He did last week. Our guys have families to feed to.
Hope you get some sleep but looks like it's gone for me until Wed night.

From a retired truck-drivers wife--please, think long and hard before you buy a truck right now, James, with the economy, and fuel prices as they are, dosent sound like a good idea to me.

LOL, then, I suggest you buy a truck--then you'll have a reason for not sleeping at night.

At least I can Sleep If I Am in A truck! For some reason I sleep better when I Am on the road! And waiting on freight and the pay rates are Not that big A deal! Thats why I prefer to Run to Canada from the Rio Grande Valley. Great miles and A decent income both!!! Plus I get to see the great Frozen North, (I Really do LIKE to get up to Canada )

I have one word for you: melatonin.

Trot on down to your herb/health food store and buy a bottle of 3 mg timed release melatonin. Take one tablet just before you get ready for bed (I take mine before I brush teeth, etc.).

You will sleep like a baby, it is not habit-forming, and is non-prescription. It is a naturally occurring substance in the brain. If I don't take it, I am prone to 2 a.m. wakefulness. High stress job does it for me.

DW has to take more than the one tablet. Be careful with upping the dose on the "more is better" theory, as some folks who take too much have bad dreams. You want just enough to put you in slumberland. The timed release formula is great for that.

I usually awake after taking it somewhat groggy, but that clears by the time I step out of the shower.
