Me too. Cheap knock off crocs from Dollar General. Wouldn't trade them for a dozen pairs of my old flip flops. Be sure to get the correct size. Too big and your feet sort of go everywhere inside them at once. Only wear them here at the farm as I look goofy enough in my normal attire when I go to town to check the mail.

Wear them all of the time. I'll never wear tennis shoes again. I did get some of the knock offs and I won't do that again. There is nothing like the real ones. Period. AND they're Dane puppy proof!

Didn't know what they were until I received a pair as a birthday present. Think they're great, and wear them outside around the house all the time. Eldest daughter thinks they are an embarrasment, so I make a point of wearing them when we go shopping together. lol.

crocks
The uses of crocks:
barn shoes
go to the mail box shoes
house slippers
outside shower shoes
inside shower shoes, for those that slip alot
go get surgery done in crocks--easy on off
garden shoes
and finally--------------------dog chew toys
and you throw them in the bathtub to clean 'em
and I have 5 pair

They are also great for farm visits - very easy to clean before and after. Excellent in the dairy but don't wear out into the field where you will be mobbed and toes stepped on!
Mine are original Crocs made in CO, are 2 y/o and still fine. And I saw them in England 2 years ago, so hardly redneck - perish the thought! lol

I hate them with a passion. They look goofy. They fall off my feet. They let in goat poo and fire ants and grass fragments and mud.
I have a pair of blue ones. Worn about three times.
Maybe I'll put them out by the road with a sign that says FREE - TAKE ME!

They hurt my feet & my social status!! :O) I will stick with Birks... they also come in a 'spray off' version. Sure they cost a bit more then crocs but my arches are worth it!

I bought them for my kids to wear to go to the pool as an alternative to sandles. They are easy on and off but we now have a rule about wearing them in the yard or wood. They are easy to puncture and thorns can go through them.

I don't know if what I have are crocs. I think they are for nurses-the only difference though is mine don't have holes in them. I don't understand the holes because one of the joys of my crocs-without-the-holes shoes is that after mucking around in the horse manure, I can just spray them off and be on my way. They are the most comfortable thing shoes I have ever put on my feet. I do everything in them (except go anywhere other than home in them). Wonderful shoes!

They aren't good in the mountains. I kept twisting my ankle when I tried them.

celticfalcon - they're the foam rubber clogs that have been so popular the last few years.
I've worn through a couple pair now and am debating whether I want to spend a few more bucks to get the ones LL Bean has to see if they'll last longer. The only time I hate having them on is when the ground's wet enough that your feet get wet through the vents around the toes.

I have 3 pair of crocs. 2 pair are summertime crocs and 1 pair of wintertime crocs. The winter crocs do not have the holes in them and you can get them lined (they also sell them unlined).

I have a pair and I like them, but they are NOT farm shoes IMO. They act as bee scoopers for me. I got a honey bee in one of the holes. Scooped it right off some clover as I was walking through. Got stung on the toe. Honey bee stings hurt WAY worse than other bees! I had to have help to the house!
The second time I got stung in my crocs, a yellow jacket thought my croc looked like a nice space to fly into... while my foot was in it! Crocs really are big. Got stung on top of my foot that time.
I don't think either sting would have happened if I were wearing regular sandals. But I still like them and still wear them out and about. Just not out in the field.

i picked up a pair of these little plastic shoes at the thrift shop for $2. I had no idea what they were, but with my big socks that I wear, they fit great and keep the socks cleaner. I just wear them around the house like house shoes. so i took them on my trip and found out they were crocs. I had no idea. So yes I wear them, but if you had asked 2 weeks ago I would have said no. hehehe. I don't wear them outside though, kind of pointless up here with all those holes in them.
