Marketing for Farmer's Conference..WNC

I saw the post about the organic growing seminar and thought I would add another great conference happening in WNC! I have attended in the past (at my Alma Mater) and it is an amazing wealth of information!

Brought to you by Appalachian Sustainable Agriculture Project, Great guys!, and hosted at Warren Wilson College in Swannanoa, NC.
This year is heavy in the Marketing realm with sessions on establishing and running CSA's, Farm business planning and Market planning (I need those)
Quickbooks for the Farm, Native Plants, Heirloom tomatoes, Marketing berries.. Making Pastured Poultry work for you and the developing markets for fresh meat.. Marketing your farm and it's products to your customer..through tailgates, farmer's markets, wholesale, restaurant sales etc..!!!!!
There are great seminars led by VERY successful farmers, dairy and cheesemakers, spinners and weavers!! I learned so much and saw that it is possible to succeed at what you love to do!
All in all it is a great day.. I walked with bags of useful info and folders last year and plan on doing the same this year. I still reference last year's info too. Lunch is awesome as well. If you are in the area..please check it out. It is very well worth it!

My wife and I attended such a marketing class about 2 yrs ago here in WI.

I have 20 yrs of sales experence, and some marketing know-how.

Even with all that, I can't begin to tell you how much we learned there.

The best $40 we ever spent.

I *heart* Warren Wilson College. It's where I saw Sally Fallon for the first time.

Thanks for sharing!
