I am an honorary citizen of Newfoundland and have spent a LOT of time there. What can I help you with?

I have never lived there but have worked with, and known MANY newfoundlanders. Super folks with a different and wonderful outlook on life/nature and families.
This is a great and timely thread. The wife will be 50 next yr and wants to go somewhere she has never been. So far we have been kicking around somewhere warm if we go on her bday(jan23) or, if we wait till the summer, someplace in Canada.. NFLD would be a great choice and I have a some friends there. I have always wanted to go there. She has been all over the world(military) but she has only been to a couple provinces in Canada. Thanx for the bug in my ear.

Transplanted Newfoundlandger

I was born and raised in Newfoundland, it is definately one of the most beautiful and clean areas of North America. I took my wife there a few years ago and she thought the entire island should be a national park.

There are a variety of small towns throughout the island with real estate ranging from a few thousand dollars and up, it really depends on what you are looking for.

In case you haven't already found it, the best independant website for Canadian real estate is www.mls.ca
