New Holland TC25 tractor -- anybody have one?

I've located this tractor at an area dealership online but haven't seen it yet. It's a 1999 model, 4WD, with front end loader, 865 hours, 25 hp, pto. They're asking $11,000. I would use it on small acreage for bush hog, moving snow, firewood, etc., but no field work. Does that seem like a fair price? Is anyone familiar with this tractor? Thanks.

I would have an older cousin, 1720. Good machines. Paid more for mine, had 1/2 the hours, some years ago, so think that is a good starting price.

Here's a used TC25 for sale. Lots of variables in pricing, but judge for yourself. They are good light tractors.

Tractor house lists several for sale in the ballpark of what your dealer is asking.

There are several around here, including my slightly newer hydro version. They're good machines. Does the dealer sell them new and have parts/knowledgable help? That can be really important. Can't speak to the price -- might be ok if it's in good shape. I'd try to get a usable mower or brush hog with it for that.

I have a NH TC-29 Bought new in 2002 4x4, manual trans, loader, industral tires, paid $12500 in N.Ga. at the time.

I haven't priced one since then

But look at website http://www.agr.state.ga.us/ for the Ga Farmers Market Bulletin to give you some idea on private sales prices in Ga.

EDIT: Sorry! Ours is actually a TZ, not a TC.

We've got an '04, same model, with a FEL and 60" finish mower deck. I also run a 4' aftermarket tiller off the PTO. I have to go S-L-O-W in new ground and make sure the slip clutch is set right on the tiller, because that tractor is barely big enough to run it in broken ground. Counterweights are a MUST if you get any kinda load in the bucket - it gets hoppy and tippy real quick. But that's probably true of any sub-compact tractor with a FEL on it.

In hindsight, we'd probably have bought something older and bigger and mowed the lawn with something else. Partly because the guy who cuts my hay on shares is talking about quitting, and I've got first dibs on his haying equipment when he sells it, but no tractor to run it with.

We've also had some issues with the hydraulics and the hydrostatic tranny on ours, but we didn't use it nearly as much as we thought the first year and the warranty was gone by the time we figured out that the problems were NOT user error. We bit the bullet and bought a NEW tractor to avoid problems! Live and learn, sometimes painfully...
