spinach long storage, cook n freeze or not?

I have 2 bunches of gorgeous spinach. I want to make something with them for next weekend. Would it be better to cook it now and freeze it or keep it in the fridge for the week with a fresh food cloth changed daily? Spinach doesn't usually keep in my house for that long and I'm not sure how long I could keep it and still have it taste fresh.

We've steamed spinach, blanched/drained, then froze it for use on pizza, in other recipes or even as a side dish. We ended up with bags pulled at expiration from the store. I'd say cook and freeze it.
