Another leather working question

Someone else asked about leather on another thread which reminded me that I am interested in making beaded leather collars for my dogs. Anyone have any suggestions for a beginner? References to books or plans maybe?

Thanks

Another possibility is Hide Crafter Leather Company. They lean more towards the professional leathercrafter, offering better quality forged stamping tools made specifically for Hide Crafter Leather Company by several tool makers in the USA. Tandy gets their tools from China. Hope this helps!
